Autograph letter : Cambridge, Mass., to "My dear Emily," 1940 Oct. 14.

Eleanor explains to Emily, who lives in England, the manner in which she will continue to send Emily money for the articles of clothing that Emily sends to her. She speaks of a friend, Celine, who resides in Belgium (then under German occupation) and who lives off of their garden produce and small livestock. She also mentions her own severe headaches and May Sarton's "lecturing tour."
